Ain't this the living end?

What all stylish swine are wearing.

The trip back from Halifax was made in record time. Apparently, I'd filled up the OddBall-Mobile with aviation fuel and we were doorstep to doorstep in 4 hours, 7 minutes. Mostly this has to do with my bladder capacity than anything else...we only required one pit stop.

I waved in the general direction of the London Wul-Farm as we blew past the Dieppe turnoff but I wasn't in the mood to stop today. It was all 'pitter-patter, let's get at her". In case you all didn't know already, Heidi has her own blog now and here's the link.

Okay, it's time to unpack and/or contemplate what we're having for supper. I'll write more tomorrow, complete with tips on how to fit a finicky and exceedingly cranky pig.

At 10:06 AM, March 15, 2006, Willie's Momma said...: Polite????? Being a herd animal, Willie has his own set of social rules. He defers to the top pig (me) and is territorial with strangers (Kate). Also, pigs have no real natural means of protecting themselves so they are totally dependant on their caregivers for safety. Having strangers *invade* his safe place causes Willie tremendous stress.

With me and other family members that he sees every day, he is well behaved. With strangers, he feels the need to let them know that he ranks above them in the herd. Hence, he puts Kate through her paces everytime he sees her.

He is only 2 years old so he will get better. But right now, he is so freaked whenever there are strangers aroudn you think the poor thing was going to pitch a coronary.

He was much better with Kate this time though. He didn't rush out of his bedroom trying to chase her from my bedroom like he did last time. This time he just yelled at her a lot.

Soon enough he will love Auntie Kate like she were his own momma!!
