The end is in sight

Another milestone reached.

Well, I've made it past the 3/4s mark for the border. I may actually finish knitting this shawl in this lifetime.

It's been a long haul but at the risk of tossing all sense of modesty to the wind, it is a beautiful piece. It's going to be hard to send it away.

In any event, I'm tired. It's been a long day. Talk at you's all laters; thanks for reading.

Almost there! I am impressed with your persistance in working on something that you are sending away.

You never know when you're going to need the Karma points.

That shawl is even more beautiful in real life. I can't imagine the tremendous amount of work invested in it.

I just got back from my training weekend last night. Despite being a long distance runner, I have discovered that I have muscles that I did not know existed until I stepped onto a parade square for drill!

Willie was more than a little pissed with me for going away for the weekend; however he is slowly forgiving me as evidenced by him coming to the bedside to greet me this morning. I am going to take him for a walk today and I am going to put his scarf on him. He won't need his cloak today because of the weather. But in light of how much he likes to dress up, I think he will proudly strut his stuff through the neighbourhood with his scarf.

It's okay, can just tell Willie that you were kidnapped by those awful vicious STRANGERS and it took you all weekend to Jack Bauer/McGyver yourself out of danger to be reunited with your darling pig.

Willie will believe anything if it confirms that the evil STRANGERS are not to be trusted. Nice pig but a simple pig.

Beautiful! I can see why it'll be hard to give it away once you're finished. But wow, what a piece of handiwork!

I admire your persistence! How many beers, cocktails, etc., did it take to get thus far?
